DESCRIPTION:Welcome back local children’s author-illustrator\, Jenifer Tull-Gauger\, for a book reading and workshop. Jenifer will read The Nice\, New Karate Kid: A Dojo Kun Character Book on Fighting Disrespect & Trouble from her children’s character-building picture book series. Following the book-reading\, she will lead a respected workshop. In this workshop\, participants will learn to write “respect” in Kanji (Japanese writing)\, to create a bookmark. This book is geared toward children ages 5 to 10\, but all are welcome to attend this special event. \nRegistration is required. \n

DESCRIPTION:Have fun at the museum on Saturday afternoons with AP teacher Karen Maas\, from the Gilbert Classical Academy. Join her STEM students as they share a STEM learning adventure with participants. The GCA students will introduce a variety of activities including 3D printing with both 3D pens and printers\, CAD applications using Tinker-card\, Makey Makey apps with fruit\, and more! \nRegistration is required. \n*Program registration will close at 12pm the day prior to the program.
