After she was born\, the doctors were not optimistic and told Rose’s mother to not get attached to her…put her in a home\, she will never be normal. DESCRIPTION:Retired local teacher\, Erik Gillman\, will guide participants in creating their own wood art project using computer numerical control. Kids will learn how to combine art and technology using a laser engraver.  Whatever design you can draw (or import from the Internet)\, can be engraved into wood.  Participants will create a design on a Chromebook using EASEL software and convert the design into GCODE\, then set up the engraver to start the process.  Ages 12 and up.
