DESCRIPTION:Join HD SOUTH and local children’s picture book author-illustrator\, Jenifer Tull-Gauger\, for a book reading and workshop.  The author will read the first book in her character-building Dojo Kun Character Book series called The Can-Do Karate Kid: A Dojo Kun Character Book on Defeating Laziness & Procrastination. The books will be available for purchase (CASH ONLY).  Following the book-reading the author will facilitate a Healthy Habits Workshop. Each participant will be led through creating a powerful goal for a healthy habit\, to be worked on independently for 21 or more days. Recommended for ages 5-10\, but all ages are welcome to join this special event. Non-reading/writing children will need an older partner to help them with reading and writing their goal. All workshop supplies will be provided. \nRegistration is required

DESCRIPTION:Meditation can provide relief from the intrusive thoughts of grief. It can also help your nervous system learn to heal with your grief. There is no moving on\, no getting over grief\, but when your mind clears\, you start to mend. Join Stuart Preston\, certified Sound Practitioner\, in a sound “healing” session designed specifically for those grieving a loss.  Participants must bring a yoga mat\, 1-2 blankets and a pillow.
