Megan Smart, a Scientist and Citizen Science Coordinator with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, will describe how Arizona uses data to protect essential water and enhance natural waterbodies throughout the state. This presentation will discuss the formation of Arizona Water Watch, the use of time lapse photography to understand water flow patterns, and introduce ideas and tools that 4th graders to retirees can use to help scientists protect Arizona’s beautiful streams and lakes!
