A welcoming room for smaller celebrations, classes, meetings, and meals together, within HD SOUTH's historic campus.

Neely Room Use Policy & Agreement (PDF)
Under the Open Sky
Create a ceremony, reception, or gathering in the Courtyard or Veranda. Both outdoor spaces can be rented on their own or added to an indoor room.
Conference Room
A space for board and committee meetings, or a delightful bridal suite, with a maximum occupancy of 25.

Kitchen
Available for use in conjunction with an event in the Severson Center, or rented on its own, this expansive teaching/warming kitchen is a great space for caterers and instructors alike.

Food Truck Space
Add an on-site food truck space for a flat fee of $50 per event. Discuss food arrangements and placement with the HD SOUTH team when planning your rental.

Neely Community Room rental includes tables, chairs, and A/V equipment. Food truck space: $50 per event.
Security Deposit
Indoor spaces: $200 or 10% of the rental fee, whichever is greater. Outdoor spaces: $300 or 10%, whichever is greater. Deposits are refundable under the rental agreement terms.
Setup & Cleanup
Your rental includes set up and clean up time. Plan for both when sharing your start and end times with our team.
Add a Little History
Self-guided museum tours can be arranged for your event with preapproval, at a discounted admission rate of $3 per person.

Credit card payments include a 3.5% service fee. Contact HD SOUTH to arrange payment by cash or check.

For private events in the Neely Community Room or Severson Center, park in the Gilbert Elementary School lot immediately west of the museum. Enter the parking lot at the school marquee sign, then enter the HD SOUTH campus through the west gate.

Can we tour the venue before deciding?
Yes. Email info@hdsouth.org or call 480-926-1577 to schedule a tour and discuss your event.
Can we rent indoor and outdoor spaces together?
Yes. The Courtyard and Veranda are available separately or as additions to a room rental. The rate sheet provides a 20% discount on an outdoor space added to your rental.
Are tables, chairs, and A/V equipment included?
Tables and chairs are included with the Neely Community Room and Severson Center. A/V equipment is included with Neely; at the Severson Center it is available for $100 per event. Discuss any other equipment or furnishings with our team.
Can we bring food or serve alcohol?
You arrange your own food and beverages. Discuss vendors and plans with the HD SOUTH team; serving alcohol requires prior approval. The Severson Center kitchen is available for an additional fee. See the use agreement for your space for the full requirements.
Does an inquiry reserve my date?
An inquiry starts the conversation. Our team will confirm availability and explain the agreement, payments, and insurance requirements needed to secure your rental.
