ARIZONA MINERALS

Join native Arizonan and retired mining engineer, Les Presmyk as he shares his vast knowledge of Arizona mining history.  He will also share how his love affair with minerals started at the tender age of 10 when he started collecting minerals.  Les worked for 11 years at the Magma Mine in Superior and the San Manuel Mine in San Manuel, spending the next 30 plus years with SRP working with coal mines and uranium fuel supplies for SRP’s seven generating stations, including Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.  He and his wife, Paula, have lived in Gilbert for 39 years.
