Where’s Waldo? In Gilbert, of course!
The iconic children’s book character in the red-and-white-striped shirt and black-rimmed specs is visiting 23 local businesses, including Literally, a Bookshop, throughout our community this July.
Anyone who wishes to participate can pick up a “Find Waldo Local in Gilbert!” stamp card, which contains the names of all the participating sites; with each Waldo they spot, they can get their card stamped or signed by the participating shop.
Waldo’s friend the Wizard is also hanging out in Literally, a Bookshop, so eagle-eyed hunters can find that as well!
The first 125 players who collect store stamps/signatures from at least 10 different businesses and bring their passports in to Literally, a Bookshop get a poster and a $1 Off coupon for a WALDO book.
Players who collect 20+ stamps/signatures are entered in a drawing to win Prizes during our We Found Waldo Party on July 31 for other prizes. Prizes include gift cards to local businesses and an assortment of Where’s Waldo? books!
Those present at the party will get a preference for the drawing. If we have leftover prizes, those who complete the challenge but can’t be present will also be eligible!
The hunt begins on July 1, 2026!
Team play is acceptable, but prizes, other than stickers and coupons, are single.
Find Waldo Local is a free, family-friendly summer activity and a wonderful way to support local businesses.
There is no charge to participate, and the hunt lasts July 1 – 31.
