Food sustainability is soon becoming a problem around the desert.  However, there are many things that you can find in the desert that can be used to make ingredients for some of your favorite foods.  In this interactive and interesting presentation, Chandler Gilbert Community College sustainability expert, Kendra Stanger, will educate participants on foods that are edible and safe to use from the Arizona desert.  Kendra will also talk about using desert mesquite pods to make flour that can be used in making some of your favorite foods.  Ages 12 and up.

Registration is required.
