Join HD SOUTH as we welcome Gilbert resident, historian, and published author Dale Hallock for a Gilbert history presentation. Dale came to Gilbert, Arizona with his parents and siblings as they fled the Oklahoma Dust Bowl and the Great Depression and Gilbert has been his home ever since. During the years 1971 to 1976 he served as the Mayor of Gilbert where he expanded Gilbert from a mere 240 acres to 33,920 acres, giving Gilbert the opportunity to grow. During this program you will learn about Gilbert’s history from someone who truly lived it! Be sure to bring a friend and enjoy this special community opportunity to learn more about Gilbert. Registration is required.
