Join former ASU professor and Director of Communications at ASU’s College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, Duane Roen and his wife, Maureen Roen, a percussionist with the Chandler Symphony Orchestra, for this fun and interactive music making workshop. Budding percussionists of all ages will learn how to make and play simple percussion instruments from items found around the home. At the beginning of the workshop, Duane and Maureen will show some percussion instruments that they have built, and everyone is welcome to play them. Following that, they will help class participants make simple instruments using everyday objects. The workshop will end with a brief concert performed by all the budding percussionists alongside Duane and Maureen. Materials will be provided.  Ages 6 & up.

Registration is required.
