Spend a Saturday morning at the museum conducting fun and exciting science experiments. Local teacher, Erik Gillman, will lead participants through a workshop that will allow kids to carve their own wood art using computer numerical control. Whatever design you can draw (or import from the Internet), you can carve into wood. The basic components of the workshop will include:
- Creating a design on a Chromebook using EASEL software.
- Converting the design into GCODE which the router understands.
- Setting up the CNC router and starting the carving process.
All supplies will be provided. Ages 12 & up.
Registration is required. Space is limited.
Cost: FREE. Every attendee will need an email address to set up a free account on EASEL.
