Bring History Into Your Classroom…or Your Class into History!
A field trip is a great way for kids to learn about the history of their community, details below. But if a tour won’t work, you can always bring Gilbert’s history to life in your classroom, home study or Scout group with a traveling G.I.F.T. Trunk.
These trunks are packed with Gilbert’s Interesting Facts and Treasures and contain hands-on activities designed to bring Gilbert history to life. Activities are designed for 3rd and 4th grade to meet the state social studies standards, but can be readily adapted for different age groups. For more information on the activities and how you can check out a trunk from the Gilbert Museum, please use our contact form.
