Witness the transformation of grain into food and see the farm where it all begins. Learn what has been lost and gained with the industrialization of wheat processing and discover the return of heritage seeds and traditional harvesting methods. Set in the beautiful landscape of a century-old working farm, this is an excellent introduction to the local milling craft and culture. Ages 12 and up. HD SOUTH participants will meet at the Mill at 9:45 a.m for a 10:00 a.m guided tour. Tours include walking between exhibits and the option to participate in activities that require standing and bending. This mill is located on a working farm, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Flours and grains will be available for purchase at discounted prices in the Mill store.
