Navajo, Laguna Acoma, and other Native American railroad workers have been a vital elements of track construction and maintenance since 1880. The story of the Native people’ association with the “Iron Steed” is a fascinating, although little know one. You will not want to miss this informative program facilitated by historian Fred Friedman. Fred served as head of the New Mexico state railroad bureau as well as a railroad accident investigator and has spent many years researching the history of the railroad in the Southwest.

This program is not an in-person workshop and will be offered virtually. 

Registration is required and all registrants will receive a Zoom link via email. Must by registered by August 16, 2021
