Arizona played a significant role during World War II, especially in the air. Airports began popping up across Arizona as the nation prepared for war. These airports and facilities trained hundreds of thousands of pilots and planted the seeds for aviation businesses that we see today. Arizona historian Steve Hoza will take you through this important time in Arizona’s history.
