Phoenix native Steve Hoza has worked in the museum field for the past 35 years. He is a recognized authority on the history of World War II in Arizona and has written extensively on the subject. He is an archivist and paper/book conservator at the Salt River Indian Community. Arizona was the home to 59 military airfields during World War II, training tens of thousands of pilots, bombardiers, and gunners. Steve Hoza has visited each of these fields and presents information on the fields and how they were used. Artifacts from the trainings will also be shown.
