HD SOUTH, Home of the Gilbert Historical Museum, is excited to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for its much-anticipated “Building Communities for All Ages” expansion project. The ceremony will take place on Monday, September 9th, at 9:00 AM at the HD SOUTH campus located at 10 S. Gilbert Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85296.
This significant expansion project marks a new chapter in HD SOUTH’s commitment to fostering community connections, preserving local heritage, and creating inclusive spaces for all generations. The Building Communities for All Ages initiative is designed to enhance the museum’s facilities, expand programming, provide facility rental options, and impart a welcoming environment for people of all ages, from children to seniors.
Key highlights of the expansion project include:
- New Multi-Use Spaces: The addition of versatile spaces that will host educational workshops, community events, and cultural programming, making HD SOUTH a hub for lifelong learning and engagement. The new building will also be a source of much needed rental space with state of the art equipment, seating, and versatility options for any event.
- Expanded Exhibits and Programs: New exhibits and programs that will celebrate Gilbert’s rich history while embracing the future through innovative and interactive experiences.
- Outdoor Community Spaces: Beautifully landscaped outdoor areas where visitors can relax, socialize, celebrate, and enjoy the surroundings.
